These are the cheaper of the two models in Mavic’s new flat-pedal shoe range and have been designed for aggressive trail riding. The sole is made from ‘Contagrip’ rubber and has a unique spiderweb pattern. This is designed to give a confidenceinspiring pedal connection for when things get loose, but has shallower tread in the contact patch, to make it easier to reposition your foot and stay balanced on the bike. Other features include a dual-density midsole, elasticated ‘Quick Lace’ system, and toe and heel reinforcement. The synthetic upper should be easy to clean.
