Nocturnal missions are keeping riding fun

For me, the best thing about night riding is the way the darkness makes the relatively tame trails in my local woods feel like warp-speed, knife-edge hero lines! Even with a bonkers-powerful Gemini Titan to light the way, everything seems faster, rougher and more unpredictable. It’s harder to pick the right line when you can’t clearly make out the next corner, let alone what’s around it! These nocturnal missions make me appreciate the Genius’s 150mm of rear travel, which feels like overkill on the same trails in daylight. I need to experiment with tyre pressures a bit though, to get more grip on the wet roots and leaf-shrouded rocks. www.scott-sports.com
