Luke She eld doesn’t seem too bothered by this “nice gory crash”! He explains: “I was trying to bunnyhop a fallen tree when my rear wheel hit it hard and threw me over the bars. My knee snapped o my Hope brake lever blade, which left a sharp end that sliced me open. When I first saw the cut, I thought I’d have to stay there holding it until someone came to save me. But after a minute or two I realised it wasn’t bleeding so much that I couldn’t take a photo! I made my own way out of the woods and my brother patched me up and took me to A&E. Four hours later and I was stitched up. I was lucky I didn’t cut anything too serious, only flesh and muscle, and it was a nice clean cut so should heal up OK. It’s all part of the fun!”
