BARREL ADJUSTER

This adjusts the tension in the inner cable, to ine tune the shifting. Turning it anticlockwise increases the tension, making the mech quicker to shift into the larger sprockets. As the inner cable ‘stretches’, you may need to increase the tension to compensate.
