Mission Workshop The Axis bumbag £105

-

Mission Workshop are known for their standout craftsmanship and lofty prices – both of which are present with the Axis ‘waist pack’. Inside the single, large, zipped opening is just one more zipped mesh pocket to help organise smaller items. At least one more pocket or having the mesh pocket divided up would be useful to stop light loads shifting around. Even so, if you stuff a big tube, CO2 inflator, multi-tool, Leatherman-style tool, tyre levers, wallet and phone into The Axis, it still does a great job of staying put when the riding gets rowdy. The stiff back panel isn’t padded but moulds to the shape of your body and is extremely comfortable, even with poor packing and lumpy items. Because the waist strap is quite deep it spreads the load well and never digs in. Although pricey, the styling, quality and comfort mean we still really like this pack. Rob www.missionworkshop.com
