End of a beautiful Levo affair

Mountain Biking UK - - LONG-TERM RIDES -

It’s not going to be easy to part with this bike, because it’s become the one I ride more than any other. I started out regarding the Levo as a work tool – something to get gear into photoshoot locations. But I’ve ended up picking it off the rack more often than not on my days off too. By fine tuning the assistance provided, I can power through miles on my own but also slot easily into social rides with mates, and, for most riding, it feels like a regular bike. There are a couple of upgrades that I wouldn’t have been without – lighter wheels (after some experimentation, I’ve settled on 29in front and back) and a complete SRAM drivetrain. On to the killer question – would I hand over my own cash for this bike? Unequivocally, yes. Especially the improved 2019 version. It’s made all my rides fun and I’ve ended up fitter – that’s the ‘e-bikes are for the lazy’ myth busted! www.specialized.com
