FINDRA Leithen Merino Striped £90

Findra are a relatively young Scottish brand who are serving up gear that stylishly combines casual looks with on-bike performance. This is another cosy merino offering, in a heavier weight than the Howies top, and it feels somewhere between a baselayer and a jersey. The stripes emphasise the laidback vibe and, along with the easy cut, mean it doesn’t look too out of place worn with jeans as well as on the bike. We especially like the length – even for a tall rider, it’s plenty long enough through the body and the sleeves. There are thumb holes for those who like them, but as with most, these work better casually than for riding. As with all merino, there’s no pong, even after consecutive days of wear (and it’s been worn a lot.) There’s a lot to like about this top, but at £90 it’s very much an investment piece. www.findra.com
