Pressure release
Forks can sometimes accumulate air inside their lower legs. This e ectively creates an additional spring, which reduces the o -the-top sensitivity of the fork. Lubricate the pointed end of a thin ziptie with fork lube (or chain lube), then slip it under one wiper seal and then the other to release any trapped air.
