SRAM Code RSC

£230 (per end) Our max-control benchmark

-

These gravity stoppers have proven their worth on both the EWS and DH World Cup circuits since they were launched in 2017. While the Code lever looks a lot like SRAM’s Guide brake, it has a 30 per cent increase in positive fluid volume to better deal with heavy, prolonged braking. The top RSC model featured here also gets a lever-pivot bearing, SRAM’s ‘SwingLink’ system, and tool-free reach and contact point adjustment. At the calliper end, the Code uses four pistons (a 15mm-diameter pair and a 16mm pair). In the case of the RSC, these are made from phenolic resin to better deal with heat build-up. SRAM claim this all adds up to a 15 per cent increase in power over the Guide RSC. www.zyrofisher.co.uk
