OneUp Components’ Every Day Carry (EDC) system is a neat solution if you want to stow essential tools on your bike rather than in your pack. Where you actually store the multi-tool is up to you – it’ll fit inside your fork steerer (though you’ll need the $35 tap kit and $25 top cap to do this) or inside One Up’s 100cc EDC mini-pump ($59). The tool itself (US$59) is compact but includes 2-8mm Allen keys, a T25 Torx key, tyre lever, chain breaker, a Presta valve-core tool, spoke keys and more. There’s also room to stow a spare quick link, and you can easily screw a CO2 cartridge onto its base or add the EDC Plug and Pliers kit ($35) so you’re even better prepared should things go wrong. www.oneupcomponents.com
