Mini pumps – trailside inflators tested for value, build quality, portability, power and ease of use
SO GOOD… Its T-handle makes it the comfiest pump here to use. We found the magnetic hose attachment handy, and the screw-on valve head gives a secure fit. The hose seals inside the pump for storage, keeping it clean.
NO GOOD… With a high max pressure and a low-volume stroke, it takes a lot of pumping to get tyres inflated. The gauge isn’t that accurate, and adds £10 to the price. It’s rattly (although there was less noise than expected when riding). The mounting bracket held the pump too close to our frame, leading to rubbing. www.extrauk.co.uk
