Norco’s latest e-bikes can be itted with a huge-capacity 900Wh battery

Whether you need a helping hand on the climbs or want your own personal uplift, Norco have an e-bike for you. Their 2022 range is made up of three models – the Range VLT (170mm travel), Sight VLT (150mm) and Fluid VLT (130mm). All use Shimano’s latest, lighter STEPS EP8 motor. Unusually, the batteries are sold separately, and you can opt for a standard 540Wh option (3,190g, claimed), a bigger 720Wh power pack (3,880g) or a huge 900Wh capacity (4,570g), depending on your budget, power and weight requirements.

Seen here is the carbon fibre Sight VLT C1, the highest-spec mid-travel model.

It has the same parts as the analogue Sight C1, so once UK pricing is confirmed, you’ll be able to see exactly what adding e-power costs (just remember to add the price of the battery!). Cockpit measurements are similar on the e- and non-e Sights, but chainstay lengths on the VLT bikes are much longer – 462mm, compared to 430-445mm.
