These beautifully-machined masterlink pliers pack in loads of handy tools. You get 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6mm Allen bits, all held securely by the magnetised body and covered by the outside of the handle when closed. They slot into the end of the pivoting socket, which doubles as an 8mm bit. There are also T10 and T25 Torx keys, along with flat-head and Phillips screwdriver bits. A valve core remover and cleaner are included, along with a spoke key. There’s storage for a master-link too, and, of course, the tool functions as a pair of pliers for removing and installing these. It does this really well, with its 110mm-long handle providing plenty of leverage. Dislodging the bits from the magnetic body isn’t the easiest when wearing gloves, but the tool works well in use. Its shape does mean you can struggle to access some bolts on the bike, though. At just 71g, it won’t weigh you down. All this functionality doesn’t come cheap, though. Rob www.saddleback.co.uk
