Raindrops and drop practice for Julia

Another trip in the van for a week’s holiday could only mean another week of rain forecast. That said, the cooler temperatures were appreciated, as we were in a black vehicle with no air-con, where I’d have been baked alive during the June heatwave. One of our stops was at Chicksands Bike Park in Bedfordshire, and for the first time the Juliana’s 29in wheels got in the way a bit. Clearing some jumps with my work-in-progress technique proved tricky, but I was appreciative of its stability when a random bloke talked me into hitting a step drop with a steepish landing. I realised he wouldn’t leave me alone until I hit the feature, so I did. The peer pressure was a bit unwelcome, but the outcome was very satisfying, so thanks, stranger! www.jungleproducts.co.uk
