The Boost version of Tioga’s Undercover road saddle is designed with elongated, tapered sides for improved comfort and control. Its ‘Carbonite SpyderWeb’ shell is formed in a grid of cut-outs. Along with hollow chromoly rails, this makes it the lightest men’s perch on test, at 235g – although we can see the web filling up with mud. The SpyderWeb allows the saddle to flex and mould to your body shape. It also means the Bio X-Pad foam, which is split by a central cut-out, can be kept thin without compromising comfort. We liked this, but weren’t as fond of the shape. On long rides we felt some discomfort from our sit bones pressing on the angled sides, and when the saddle flexes under load, the nose (which rises then drops away to improve clearance) gave some unwanted pressure. www.ison-distribution.com
