Although there is a pub in Broughton Mills, it comes too early on in this ride, unless you begin at an alternative start location, such as Seathwaite. The only real option along the route is the Newfield Inn in Seathwaite. Thankfully, it’s really good. Nestled in a beautiful and remote location in Dunnerdale, it’s a cracking little oasis for weary travellers, with outside seating or a rustic indoors with a roaring fire in colder weather. The sta are always welcoming and friendly to muddy MTBers, and serve up delicious food and drink.
