The powerhouse from the Steel City isn’t just famed for his illustrious DH career – which spanned over 20 years and saw him rack up 52 World Cup podiums, 17 wins, three series titles and a World Champs gold medal – he’s also one of the best-loved MTBers of all time and a favourite of ours here at the mag. Since riding for Team MBUK in the mid’90s, Peaty’s gone on to fly the flag for GT, Orange and Santa Cruz, where he’s been a mainstay of the Syndicate team for 15 years – and counting. Steve has devoted his life to the sport; both his own racing career and nurturing future talent. He’ll beat anyone down the hill, drink anyone under the table and always has time for his fans. A legend, a gent and a proper top bloke, here’s to Peaty!
