AARON GWIN
Once in a generation, a rider comes along who takes things to another level. In World Cup DH, Aaron Gwin is one of those. As Sam Hill’s era of flat-pedal domination was coming to an end, the American eagle was waiting in the wings. In 2011 and 2012 he was practically unbeatable, and in 2015 proved he didn’t even need a chain to win. Laser-focused and lightning-fast, Gwin accelerated the pace of World Cup DH, winning five overall titles and inspiring a new generation of American talent, including Luca Shaw and Neko Mulally.
