Hailing from MBUK’s adopted home town of Bristol, we might be a bit biased in rooting for Laurie at World Cups, but it’s hard not to be when he’s such an exciting rider. We’ve seen him develop from a 13-year-old juvenile into a world-beating talent who never fails to throw down a death-orglory spectacle come race day. The harder and more fearsome the course, the more Laurie thrives – exemplified by his World Cup win and World Champs silver medal in Val di Sole, an Italian venue that’s as steep, rocky and rooty as they come.
