The gravity champ turned XC hero

-

Not only does Tracy Moseley hold multiple downhill and enduro world titles, but she also dabbled in toplevel XC, training with the British Cycling team and racing two World Cups. This put the multi-talented athlete from Malvern, Worcs, in good stead to support and mentor many of the current XC hopefuls. Under the banner of her Trekbacked T-MO Racing team, since 2012 she’s helped young XC riders such as Alice Barnes, Hattie Harnden, Beth and Rosie Crumpton, and a certain Evie Richards, along with DHer Meg James. Currently on the team are Corran and Emily Carrick-Anderson, plus enduro rider Jayden Randell. Add in her skills coaching with British Cycling and her support for EWS racers Martha Gill and Ella Connolly, and UK MTBing really does owe Tracy a debt of thanks. “In 1995, [downhiller] Helen Mortimer lent me her previous year’s bike, and that really helped me get started in my racing career,” she explains. “It’s been good to be able to repay that favour.”
