NORCO’S HIGHER VISION
Optic trail bike and Sight all-mountain machine both move to new high-pivot suspension design
NEED TO KNOW
Norco have updated their Sight and Optic bikes, promising more confidence on the trail. Both have a revised frame featuring the Canadian brand’s new ‘VPSHP’ (Virtual Pivot Suspension High Pivot) platform. This gives the back wheel a rearward axle path, allowing it to move backwards as well as up, to better deal with square-edged hits. Both bikes can be run as full 29ers or with a mixed-wheel ‘mullet’ set-up, with a smaller 650b rear wheel. Norco Bikes are now distributed in the UK by Silverfish, who are only bringing in a limited range, including just one Optic model, the carbon-framed C2, and two Sight bikes, the carbon C2 and aluminium A1. Frame-only options are also available.
