Cricket star’s family enjoys an Alpine break
AUSTRALIAN cricketing legend Adam Gilchrist experienced snow for the first time in mid-July with his wife and children at Falls Creek.
Gilchrist clipped on the skis and took to the slopes and said he was thrilled to be able to experience some great snowfalls at the resort on July 11 and 12.
“This is my debut in any kind of snow so this has been remarkable and seeing the transition from just a few days ago – 15cm one night, 30cm the next time with more on the way is amazing,” he said.
“I am an amateur but it looks perfect for anyone that wants to try it.
“In my opinion the snows here and it looks like its set it up for the whole season and talking to all the experts they’re just thrilled- you can see the smiles appear on their faces.
“It’s a bit frustrating when it’s not around but now that it’s here its go, go, go.”
