Prizm lens has excitement factor

Mt Hotham Falls Creek - - FRONT PAGE -

IT’S not very often that I get really excited about new a product. This new Prizm lens from Oakley is a real game changer.

After over 15 years of snow lens optics research, Oakley has created the Prizm lens to provide supreme control of light transmission, whereby colours are precisely filtered to maximise the contrast and enhanced visibility of the snow.

We are now able to the see the contours of the snow in all light conditions, be it on that white-out snowy day or bright bluebird spring day.

The Prizm lens now allows for having one goggle to use in all conditions without sacrificing performance.

The human eye reacts to certain colours better than others, so the Prizm lens filters out the colours we don’t need to see and highlights the colours we do want to see.

The rose tint in the Prizm lens highlights the blue colour spectrum in shadows, allowing for better contrast of the snow, thus we can see the bumps, contours and little details of the snow better than ever before.

Bumps has the new Prizm lens available in all high end Oakley goggle models; Airbrake, Flight Deck XL, Crowbar, Canopy and the A-Frame 2.0.

These models come with either of the three Prizm lens; Rose, Jade Iridium or Black Iridium, with the Airbrake goggle coming with both the Rose and Black Iridium Lenses.

Bumps is also one of the first stores in the world with the new Flight Deck XM goggle which is the smaller sibling of the Flight Deck XL, now fitting more variety of faces, including Over The Glasses (OTG) capability.

Whether you have been skiing for 20 years or two days, the new Prizm Goggle is going to improve the way you see the snow. Remember you can’t ski if you can’t see. Well it’s very difficult.
