A little bit of Aussie soul on the slopes
AFTER launching their self-titled debut album, Australian band Kid Radio are heading to the snow this August as part of their Australian and European tour.
The four-piece soulful electronic act will be appearing at The Man in Falls Creek on Saturday, August 8, for a one night only performance.
The Melbourne based band members are Dylan Smith and Marcus Ross, who have been writing together for over a decade, drummer Chad Blaster and synth and double bass player Thom Butt.
The album, Kid Radio was written on an acoustic guitar and has a collection of heavy beats, catchy chorus cries and exceptional production quality.
Produced by Count Bounce, lead singer Dylan said the album looks at themes of love, break ups, death, drugs and alcohol.
“When the album was created we were all going through something dramatic, I lost my father to suicide, Marcus was dealing with a heavy break up,” he said.
“Making this album was a great way to vent our feelings.
“We feel that there are lots of people that can relate to the themes on our album.”
Anyone attending the performance can expect an extremely visual show, video content that tells a story through film and a digital presence that connects people through a common but individual journey through time and sound.
