DOC­TOR, triath­lete and run­ner. Kate Gaz­zard never stands still.

On Sun­day in Hong Kong she fin­ished sixth in the open women di­vi­sion at Aqua Terra, which en­com­passed a 1km swim fol­lowed by a 10km trail run with 6000 steps of climb­ing.

Dr Kate com­pleted the swim in 21:47 and then took 1:43:49 to com­plete one of the hard­est run cour­ses she has ever seen.

She was in Hong Kong on med­i­cal du­ties with Hong Kong Rugby, hav­ing also been team doc­tor for the Cana­dian and Hong Kong sides at the World Rugby Tro­phy in Uruguay.
