DESPITE less than two millimetres of rain in February the hot and dry weather hasn’t been a bad thing for farmers, rather what is wanted and what’s expected.
Usually the hottest and second driest month of the year February has been that, more so than normal.
But with wine harvest four weeks through, hot and dry weather is just what producers hope for at this time, every year.
Buckland grape grower Mick Dalbosco said the dry weather has been ideal after plenty of rain in December and January.
