Rof­fey re­ceives state hon­our for ser­vice to bas­ket­ball clubs across North East

TA­WONGA res­i­dent Kelly Rof­fey was re­cently named the Fe­male Ad­min­is­tra­tor of the Year at a Bas­ket­ball Vic­to­ria Coun­try (BVC) awards night in Bendigo.

The Judy Doye Award is given to in­di­vid­u­als (paid or un­paid) in recog­ni­tion of a sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tion to bas­ket­ball in a BVC as­so­ci­a­tion and/or club.

Dur­ing her time work­ing as an ad­min­is­tra­tor with clubs in Wodonga, Myrtle­ford and Mt Beauty, Rof­fey has been in­stru­men­tal in trans­fer­ring many ad­min­is­tra­tive pro­cesses, in­clud­ing reg­is­tra­tions on­line.

Rof­fey helped es­tab­lish the Mt Beauty Bas­ket­ball As­so­ci­a­tion 10 years ago with her hus­band Mark, and also of­fers ad­min­is­tra­tive sup­port to the Myrtle­ford and Dis­trict com­pe­ti­tion, who have called her a great friend of the as­so­ci­a­tion.

She said it was an hon­our and very hum­bling to re­ceive the award.

“Bas­ket­ball is what I love, and I am very lucky to be in­volved in some­thing I feel so pas­sion­ate about,” Rof­fey said.

“In my cur­rent role I get to in­tro­duce ju­niors to a sport I love so much and I get to net­work with some amaz­ing bas­ket­ball peo­ple.” PROUD: Kelly Rof­fey was recog­nised for her ad­min­is­tra­tive work in coun­try bas­ket­ball at a cer­e­mony two weeks ago.
