Local man faces court for offence
FIVE men have appeared before the Myrtleford Magistrates Court for illegal deer spotlighting in August last year.
A Myrtleford man was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond without conviction and ordered to pay $750 to charity after being charged for being in possession of a firearm, four highpowered torches and ammunition in recognised deer habitat near Cheshunt on August 13.
His Tasmanian friend pleaded guilty and was fined $750.
Three men from Shepparton were also charged for being in possession of two firearms, two highpowered torches and ammunition near Tolmie on August 10 last year.
