Stuart and Karen Duff
What is your job?
Our Job is the day-to-day running and maintenance of the Myrtleford Holiday Park as resident managers. What brought you to this role? We started as relief caravan park and motel manager’s to see Australia 2017. As we went along we found we were getting too much work and very little time to explore each area. As we had been working as relief for Sustainable Park Holdings for a number of months and they kindly offered us this position which we jumped at. Sustainable Park Holdings are wonderful to work for and they run excellent parks where they not only look after their guests but the community as well.
What previous jobs have you had?
Stuart was a TAFE teacher and I was administration and accounts as well as onsite manager of a Wagga motel before we started our new life doing this work full-time.
How do you come from originally?
Before we began to travel we lived in Albury. Stuart was raised in the Mitta Valley and I originated from West Wyalong, NSW before living in Wagga Wagga for more than 20 years.
What do you enjoy love about living here?
We love this area, the people we’ve met, the mountains and the scenic background we are surrounded by. We have spent many weekends caravanning and camping up in the mountains and this area. We are both from small country towns and like the community mindedness small towns have and would dearly like to become part of this community.
What is an issue that Myrtleford faces?
As we’ve only been here since September 10, it’s not right to say if Myrtleford has issues however we do believe that Myrtleford and its businesses have huge potential to impress our guests and travellers and if anything we think we can assist to promote this area and have more people stop for longer in the town which would enhance businesses and industry.
If you could get anyone in the
There are so many great things to show off about Myrtleford and surrounds we’d have to show them all of it. Who would we show, well that’s easy every single guest we can as we are loving promoting this area. What is your ideal holiday? We love travelling in our van to new places and our ideal holidays have been and still are seeing as much of Australia as we can.
world to visit Myrtleford who would it be and what would you show them?
