Workshops to benefit jobseekers and farmers
MYRTLEFORD Neighbourhood Centre is joining forces with Wodonga TAFE to present to locals a free workshop for jobseekers on Friday, October 5.
Scott O’Brien, who has over 20 years’ experience in assisting people to gain employment will be the guest speaker for the event.
Mr O’Brien’s presentation will be based around his expert insight into what employers are looking for in the North East Region in 2018 and beyond.
Topics included will be resume advice, job search tips and advice, how to enter the hidden job market, cover letters and how to stand out in a crowd.
The free workshop will start at the Neighbourhood Centre from 11.30am and will include a provided lunch.
One-to-one mentoring support will also be available free of charge at the conclusion of the workshop.
The Myrtleford Neighbourhood Centre will also host a free workshop tomorrow, to help farmers better understand their finances.
The interactive workshop that will run from 9am until 3.30pm will be facilitated by Tony Hudson.
Mr Hudson is a business facilitator and trainer also with over 20 years’ experience, he has worked in agriculture, finance, operations management, adult education and training.
Mr Hudson has also delivered similar workshops right across Australia with exceptional reviews.
Topics explored include; understanding how banks assess finances, negotiating a better interest rate, understanding business risk and calculating financial risk.
