School out, ex­ams in

YEAR 12 stu­dents across the Alpine Shire last week com­pleted their for­mal school­ing with as­sem­blies, per­for­mances, cos­tumes and “muck-up” an­tics.But the cel­e­bra­tions were per­haps short lived with many stu­dents’ at­ten­tion quickly turn­ing to this year’s VCE ex­ams.

The manda­tory VCE English exam com­mences to­day at 9am with stu­dents ex­am­ined across three dif­fer­ent forms of read­ing and writ­ing skills over the course of three hours and 15 min­utes.

Psy­chol­ogy and Eco­nom­ics ex­ams will then be held to­mor­row be­fore the pop­u­lar Fur­ther Maths ex­am­i­na­tions are held both sides of the week­end on Fri­day Novem­ber 2 and Mon­day Novem­ber 5.

No ex­ams will take place on Melbourne Cup Day of­fer­ing stu­dents a break be­fore a busy week that in­cludes com­mon sub­jects Math­e­mat­i­cal Meth­ods, His­tory, VET Hos­pi­tal­ity, Health, PE, Ac­count­ing and Spe­cial­ist Maths.

Full re­sults and ATAR’s will be re­leased at 7am on Fri­day De­cem­ber 14.
