Victoria RSL ANZAC DAY 2020

Myrtleford Times - - Front Page - Kevin Pitts President Myrtleford RSL

In line with advice from RSL Victoria Head Branch the Myrtleford RSL will not conduct Anzac Day services this year. Due to the current health situation and the restrictions on gatherings, sadly it has become necessary to cancel the services. Having to take these measures is disappointing but necessary to protect the welfare of the local population. Our RSL will hold a brief tribute on the day by laying wreaths at the monument at 11am. The pubic are asked not to attend this, however if representatives of groups or members of the public wish to lay a tribute please do so at your own leisure during the day. The committee has also decided that our Friday night gatherings at the RSL will cease until further notice. The wellbeing of our seniors and members is important. We regret that these steps must be taken but we look forward to better days. Thank-you,
