The Alpine region received a timely reminder of winter on the weekend with 5cms of snow falling in an April snowstorm at Dinner Plains, Falls Creek and Mount Hotham. Temperatures plunged below zero overnight on Sunday, leaving the villages blanketed in white by the morning. Waking to the snow was particularly well received at Dinner Plain, where the 2000 bed village was a near capacity hosting school holidaymakers, such as this father and daughter. Bookings are already developing at a faster rate than usual, indicating a high amount of interest in the snow season ahead.
