Volunteer service recognised
Members of Pingelly’s Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Brigade have been recognised for their outstanding service to the community by DFES Commissioner Darren Klemm AFSM.
“Whether you receive a five-year award or 45-year award, you should be proud of being part of a team helping the community” Mr Klemm said.
Captain Robbie Kirk, who joined the brigade in 2000 and has been captain since 2006, was awarded with life membership.
Barry Keys, Shannon Diamond and Travis Hodges were all awarded with the 5 Year VFRS Service Medallion National Medal.
Sheina Diamond and Lindsay Johns were awarded with the 10 Year VFRS Service Medallion National.
The 15 Year VFRS Clasp was handed to Travis Hodges, while Peter Narducci and Tony Narducci received 40 and 45 Year VFRS Service Clasps respectively.
The awards night was held on Saturday, May 26, at the Pingelly Bowling Club to celebrate Volunteer Week
