Fireworks, displays, sideshow alley, live music. 30 September “The Great Ride” Celebration of the Centenary of The Great Ride will take place at the Narrogin Reception Centre 6pm – 8pm with a presentation of the Great Ride by Carmel Charlton. The show includes songs, dialogue, poems and projected images telling the story of the 10 Light Horse Regiment leading the Australian Mounted Division into Damascus where Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Charles Niquet Olden, the dentist from Narrogin, accepted the formal surrender of the City. A light supper will be provided. 1 October A re-enactment of the surrender of Damascus will take place in Memorial Park with members of the 10 Light Horse Albany Troop and the 10 Light Horse Bunbury Troop leading the parade into Memorial Park where the reenactment will take place. Receiving the ‘surrender’ papers will be Mr Brad Olden, Major Olden’s grandson. Parade commences at 10am at the Old Courthouse Museum. Morning tea will be served at the Museum at 11am. 17 November 25 years of the famous Narrogin Revheads automotive event. A safe and family-friendly event.
