Police investigate incident on the Great Southern Highway
Police are still investigating an incident that led to a 44-year-old Katanning man receiving serious injuries after being struck by a car.
A silver Holden Commodore sedan driving north hit the man as he walked north on Great Southern Highway, 3km south of Lime Lake Road East, about 10:05pm on Saturday, October 27.
The driver and passenger of the Commodore stopped at the scene, while a person known to the man driving a white Ford Territory also stopped. Wagin police came across the crash scene.
The man was transferred to Katanning District Hospital by St John Ambulance and was treated for multiple fractures to his arms and legs.
He was later transferred to Royal Perth Hospital via the Royal Flying Doctor Service the following Sunday morning.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
