Po­lice in­ves­ti­gate in­ci­dent on the Great South­ern High­way

Po­lice are still in­ves­ti­gat­ing an in­ci­dent that led to a 44-year-old Katan­ning man re­ceiv­ing se­ri­ous in­juries af­ter be­ing struck by a car.

A sil­ver Holden Com­modore sedan driv­ing north hit the man as he walked north on Great South­ern High­way, 3km south of Lime Lake Road East, about 10:05pm on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 27.

The driver and pas­sen­ger of the Com­modore stopped at the scene, while a per­son known to the man driv­ing a white Ford Ter­ri­tory also stopped. Wa­gin po­lice came across the crash scene.

The man was trans­ferred to Katan­ning District Hos­pi­tal by St John Am­bu­lance and was treated for mul­ti­ple frac­tures to his arms and legs.

He was later trans­ferred to Royal Perth Hos­pi­tal via the Royal Fly­ing Doc­tor Ser­vice the fol­low­ing Sun­day morn­ing.
