Prototyping resources

Prototyping should be your best friend. It enables you to share the vision of how users interact with your project in a very quick way without investing any development time to build out. It also means stakeholders can explore a project and understand the flow between pages or interaction with elements.

InVisionvision InVision is a go-to tool at Candorem. We’ve used it to sync up to our Dropbox project folders to auto-update wireframes and designs automatically, which saves a ton of time. You’re able to drop in static images for desktop, various tablets or mobile devices and wrap the image in a device frame to give the impression it’s on a phone, for example. Create clickable hotspots that trigger overlays, link to other screens, scroll to a new position on the screen and animate between each smoothly.

Adobe XDucts/xd.html Adobe XD has garnered a lot of attention in the last year. Because it’s part of the Adobe Creative family, it’s a natural extension to a majority of workflows in the industry. You can design high-fidelity prototypes or even full designs and add a layer of interaction on top. Like InVision, creating clickable hotspots that trigger movement, interaction or transitions to other pages in your project makes this a great resource for sharing experiences with stakeholders to get approval.
