Kylie and Prince Andrew – the surprise new romance
INSIDE THE SURPRISE NEW ROMANCE TAKING THE PALACE BY STORM
Just weeks after her humiliating split from her fiance, Kylie Minogue is believed to have found love again – with Prince Andrew!
Palace sources confirm the pair have been ‘quietly dating’ for several weeks, after the divorced prince reached out to Kylie, following news she’d called off her engagement to her cheating ex Joshua Sasse.
Since then they’ve been ‘inseparable’, with the 48-yearold Aussie singer spending several nights with Andrew, 57, in the past fortnight, while their romance was the source of nonstop whispers at Windsor Castle during a recent royal reception in her honour.
Prince Philip presented the former Neighbours favourite with the Britain-australia Society Award for 2016 at a private reception, where senior royals gave the budding relationship their tick of approval.
‘Andrew and Kylie have long been close friends, and no-one’s surprised that their relationship has finally turned romantic,’ a palace insider says.
‘Andrew phoned Kylie after her recent relationship broke down to offer his condolences. He knows what it’s like to have your heart broken so publicly.
‘Now all eyes will be on the guest list for Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa’s wedding, to see if Kylie will attend as a guest of the prince.
‘At the moment they’re inseparable – Andrew is 100 per cent smitten.’
The new romance has the tick of approval from the Queen and senior palace officials, who’ve long lamented the state of the prince’s love life.
Kylie is a long-time favourite of the royal family, often performing at official palace events, including the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations last year.
‘Finally Andrew has found a girlfriend that the palace approves of,’ the royal insider says.
‘Fergie was never a favourite of the Queen, especially given their messy divorce. And since then it’s just been one questionable woman after another.
‘Kylie is someone that Her Majesty would welcome into the royal family with open arms. Everyone’s hoping this romance goes the distance.’
After receiving her special award for her services in promoting relations between Britain and Australia, Kylie spoke of her love for her adopted home.
‘I’m a proud Aussie but Britain has a very strong place in my heart, having lived and worked here for many years,’ she said.
‘The Society does a wonderful job to promote the rich cultural ties between the two countries... I am honoured to be recognised by them in this way.’ NI
