Petite Nicolle beat 400 other actresses to win the role of Summer Bay rebel Bobby Simpson. Then 18, she swapped the life of a suburban uni student for first-class travel, limos and screaming fans.
‘I had no idea the effect it was going to have,’ says Nicolle, who quit the show in 1993, but returned briefly in 1995 as a ghost.
Now 48, Nicolle says her adult sons Lincoln and Winston ‘think it’s hysterical to hunt up old Youtube clips of ballsy Bobby bashing everyone up’.
