Now 80, Norman lives on a beachside property on Tasmania’s Bruny Island.

‘It’s called Little Hell Bay, so I’ve finally gone to hell,’ laughs the actor, who played headmaster Donald ‘Flathead’ Fisher from 1988 to 2003, with encores in 2004, 2005 and 2007.

‘It was really difficult leaving the show,’ says Norman, whose long-running role earned him a place in Guinness World Records.
