Married at First Sight’s Simon and Alene reunited

The Married At First Sight lovebirds have reunited!

-

They shattered the hearts of reality-tv fans by announcing their split in May.

However, Married At First Sight favourites Simon Mcquillan, 37, and Alene Khatcherian, 31, have sent their social media followers into meltdown over snaps that appear to hint at reconciliation.

Joining several MAFS season four alumni at the Ipswich Cup in Queensland, the former flames looked closer than ever. Leaning in close for a group shot, Alene and Simon grinned as they posed with fellow cast members Lauren Bran, Sean Hollands, Jesse Konstantinoff, John Robertson and Nadia Stamp in a picture shared by Simon.

‘A night out in ippy QLD with some of the stars,’ he captioned the image. And tellingly, in another shot posted by Alene, John appeared to hint at a rekindled romance.

‘Are you back with Simon??’ a fan enquired, to which John replied: ‘I’ve heard not but they looked pretty cosy to me.’

Adding further fuel to the fire, Simon shared a sweet selfie of himself and Alene, simply captioning it: ‘Ipswich Cup.’

‘Hope you get back together you guys were the best couple everrrr!!! You can’t put distance on true love!’ gushed one excited fan, while another begged: ‘Please please please get back together!!!’

The registered nurse and truck parts manufacturer left die-hard fans devastated when they announced their split in a statement back in May.

‘It was a difficult decision, but we have decided to part ways,’ the pair said. ‘We remain the greatest of friends and we will continue to be part of each other’s lives. We thank you for your privacy at this time.’

And while rumours swirled immediately after the announcement that Simon had left his reality TV wife ‘heartbroken’ and was already searching for a new hook-up on Tinder, it appears the pair may have put their differences aside to give their relationship another go.

While Simon remained tight-lipped when New Idea reached out for confirmation, he didn’t deny a reconciliation either. And interestingly, he appeared to refer to himself and Alene as a couple in a remark to a friend on Instagram.

‘Sorry mate. I had a bloody long night last night. Myself and Alene met up Sean, John and Jesse,’ he wrote.

We’re keeping a close eye on this one...
