atching a relaxed Aaron and Daniella frolicking in the sand with their two gorgeous little boys, it seems life is perfect for the Gold Coast couple.

With a freshly renovated family home and healthy, happy children Jaxon, three, and Brooklyn, one, lighting up their lives, Aaron and Daniella are all smiles.

However, happiness is something the married pair have had to fight for desperately, through financial struggles and a harrowing health scare that almost took Daniella’s life.

‘My pregnancies were an absolute nightmare,’ she reveals to New Idea.

‘We can’t get pregnant again. We had to make the decision of either my body breaking down or [not having] more children.

‘I would have loved a little girl, but I don’t think my body can take it.

‘We originally wanted three or four kids, because Aaron is an only child, but because of my pregnancies we just can’t.

‘I was in and out of hospital. I was in a rut, and it just kills me.’

The 38-year-old mum explains that being pregnant with both her boys took a huge toll on her body.

‘With Jaxon I was really sick, and then I got kidney stones,’ she recalls.

‘I ended up on crutches in

the last three weeks, and then in hospital at the end.’

Just three months after giving birth to Brooklyn, Daniella found out that she and Aaron, 31, had won a place on House Rules.

But she was still recovering from an emergency C-section, following yet another harrowing pregnancy experience.

‘With Brooklyn I split three abs when I was pregnant, so we had to get him out sooner rather than later, at 38 weeks,’ she says.

‘I was still recovering from a caesar when we got the call about House Rules.

‘My scar is actually ruined now. You’re meant to have six weeks of doing nothing, but it takes a full year to recover, really.

‘I’m going to have to go back to my obstetrician and have a chat to him and see what we can do. I didn’t want to miss a lifetime opportunity.’

Luckily for Daniella, despite her traumatic pregnancies, both Jaxon and Brooklyn were ‘really good babies’.

The photogenic parents have been together for 10 years, and tied the knot in Las Vegas.

Carpenter Aaron and former dancer Daniella both run their own businesses, which they were forced to leave while taking part on the hit Channel Seven show.

‘We’re nuts, we’re just nuts,’ Aaron admits.

‘Up until we were on the show, I was working 100hour weeks.

‘Financial struggles have been hard over the years, but because life is so short we just want to fill our life with so many things and put our hands in so many pies. We just never stop.

‘I think we’ve done so well. We’ve taken some stupid roads and made mistakes, but we’ve made sacrifices to get ahead in life.’
