DRUGS, SECRETS AND A WEB OF LIES

In another family scandal, Sandra and beau Bryan have been rocked by new claims that Skylar’s mother may not have been alone when she died.

While the 23-year-old has been led to believe her mum was simply a junkie who died of a heroin overdose in 2007, Janine Staten’s family have revealed that the fatal dose of the drug was actually administered by someone else – and they are pointing the finger at Janine’s husband and Skylar’s stepdad Michael Blankenship.

‘When Janine overdosed, it was not by herself,’ alleges her stepsister Christy Hodgkiss. ‘The injection site was in her back, where she couldn’t reach. Somebody else had to have done it. I’d say it was probably her partner at the time.’

Not only does Michael’s dad Gary say his son indeed takes personal responsibility for Janine’s death, he also reveals a chilling twist to the story – Janine was a rape victim who used her $300,000 settlement to fund the drug addiction that eventually claimed her life.

‘Within eight months of receiving her money, she was dead,’ claims Gary.

While Christy says she ‘[doesn’t] even think Skylar knows [the truth] about what happened with her mum’, if Sandra has anything to do with it, that’s all about to change!

‘As long as Bryan keeps the family’s secrets buried, she’s never really going to get over her mom’s death,’ says a source. ‘I’m sure Sandra argues that Skylar is a smart young woman with a good head on her shoulders, and is old enough to be told the truth.’
