Moving on: Nicole and Keith

THE DREAM IS OVER AS THE COUPLE SELL THEIR SPECIAL PIECE OF PARADISE

-

The dream is over for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who have sparked even more speculation there is trouble in paradise after the duo decided to part ways with their much-loved Tennessee home that holds such a special place in their hearts.

The shock decision comes amid reports Keith is ‘not happy at all’ with Nicole’s close display with actor Justin Theroux at a Louis Vuitton event in New York last week, prompting raised eyebrows from those closest.

‘This is a home Nicole and Keith said they’d never sell,’ says a source. ‘It’s not like they need the money – so the fact they’re selling at the same time that Keith is unhappy about her plans to work with Justin is telling.’

Located in Leiper’s Fork, just 25km from their Nashville mansion, Nicole says it was a visit to the area in their first days of dating that cemented her decision to spend the rest of her life with Keith.

‘When I met Keith, he brought me [to Nashville] and we went to a place called Leiper’s Fork... and I was like: “Oh, I so hope he asks me to marry him and I can live here.”’

The couple were recently working on plans to convert their haven into a wildlife sanctuary, but suddenly decided to list the luxe, four-bedroom retreat for $3.45 million, leaving family and friends shocked.

‘Nicole and Keith adore that home, it holds so many special memories and they had big plans for the place,’ a pal tells New Idea. ‘To get rid of it is so out of the blue. We’re all wondering what could be going on to spark this.’

Indeed, Keith waxed lyrical about the home and the couple’s deep connection to it after purchasing it in 2007.

“The first place I took her to was out near Leiper’s Fork. That ended up being out in the general area where we will now call home. I just knew that she would love it for the exact same reasons I love it. There’s a pace and a way of living that is much more spiritually satisfying to me than a lot of other places,’ he told The Tennessean.

Nicole recently insisted they were ‘staying put in Nashville’, following reports they were upping sticks for New York. But it appears they are cutting ties with a large part of their lifestyle.

‘They’ve always viewed Leiper’s Fork as their family home and would retreat there as often as possible,’ says the source. ‘This is the end of an era.’
