CHARLENE AND PATRICK’S SHOCK SPLIT

She was outspoken about other people’s marriages, often giving her advice and opinions. Now Charlene has been left fighting for her own ‘marriage’.

Just shortly after filming Sunday’s episode, which saw the golden couple renew their vows, the vivacious brunette was left confused and heartbroken when she was ‘ghosted’ by Patrick.

Disappearing from her life completely, he made no contact, refusing to answer her calls or give any explanation.

‘She has been telling everyone that he didn’t speak to her once between the vow renewal and the reunion,’ says her friend. ‘It was just so weird because she honestly thought they were the strongest couple in the experiment.’

According to her friends, Charlene had actually received warning not to trust Patrick and now the devastated bride wished she had taken it more seriously.

‘Patrick’s exes had been reaching out to her on social media letting her know she should be wary of him,’ says a friend. ‘But they were so good together, she didn’t want to believe it and convinced herself they were just being bitter.’

Having had no choice but to confront him at a public event in Sydney a few weeks ago, Charlene looked devastated as she asked her former ‘husband’ for answers.

‘She looked really, really upset,’ an onlooker at the party said.

‘They spent a long time fighting in the corner and they weren’t exactly being discrete.’
