Katy Perry in nun death drama

NUN’S BATTLE TO STOP KATY PERRY’S PROPERTY EMPIRE ENDS IN DEATH

-

Sister Catherine Rose Holzman, 89, collapsed and died after she said her final words to Katy Perry in a statement to Fox 11 News last Friday, leaving the singer completely shocked.

‘To Katy Perry, please stop,’ Holzman pleaded. ‘It’s not doing anyone any good except hurting a lot of people.’

These were the nun’s final words before she stepped into the courtroom – alongside Sister Rita Callahan. She then collapsed and later died.

Holzman was a member of an order of elderly nuns who were involved in a dispute over the sale of a convent in Los Angeles.

Perry had sought to purchase the eight-acre property, with its charming Roman-style villas, for a cool $18.4 million, but the nuns disapproved of the I Kissed A Girl singer’s purchase.

‘Katy Perry represents everything we don’t believe in,’ Holzman told Billboard. ‘It would be a sin to sell to her.’

‘I found her videos and... if it’s alright to say, I wasn’t happy with any of it,’ Callahan told the Los Angeles Times in 2015.

The group of nuns had signed a contract with restaurateur Dana Hollister, who offered an extra million on top of Perry’s original purchase price and promised to keep the property open to the public. But in 2015, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles blocked the sale, and a year later took the sisters to court and won the rights to sell the property to Katy.

Hollister was later convicted of fraud and ordered to pay the archdiocese millions in damages as well as $6.6 million to Katy.

As a show of support, sisters Holzman and Callahan joined Hollister in court as she filed for bankruptcy. Unfortunately, Sister Callahan was the only nun to leave the room alive.

‘I was sad to hear of her passing and have offered a Mass for the repose of [Sister Holzman’s] soul,’ Archbishop Gomez said.

Katy, who will potentially lose the millions owed to her is yet to comment on Holzman’s death.

After her appearance on American Idol, fans of the show took to social media to blame Katy Perry for the nun’s death.
