QHow can I clean my wooden chopping board without using chemicals that will damage the board? Sue, via email.
AFor a natural cleaner, mix equal quantities of bicarbonate of soda and table salt with enough water to form a thick paste. Scrape off any food residue from the board, then scrub in hot soapy water. Rinse well. Next, scrub the board with the prepared paste using a washing-up brush. Rinse thoroughly under hot water then leave somewhere for the air to circulate so the board dries out completely.
