STAY OFF THE SUGAR

Sugar is one of the worst things for your gut, as it kills off the good bugs, says Dr Mosley. ‘Full-fat yoghurt that contains live cultures is great, but if it’s sweetened with lots of sugar then there’s not much living in it,’ explains the doctor. ‘The sugar acts like an antibiotic, plus the empty kilojoules make you fat.’
