Prince Charles’ love child scandal

SIMON DORANTE-DAY BELIEVES HIS PARENTS ARE PRINCE CHARLES AND THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL

-

With Prince Charles and Camilla due to touch down in Australia in two weeks for the Commonwealth Games, there’s one person very excited about their arrival – Simon Dorante-day, the man who believes he’s their secret Aussie son.

Now in a bombshell new revelation, the Queensland grandfather – who has a mountain of credible and alarming proof to back up his explosive claim – has revealed plans for a highly anticipated secret meeting with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

In an exclusive interview with New Idea, 51-year-old Simon says he’s ‘very confident’ his meeting will come off after the royal couple land in Queensland in April, and says

he can’t wait to finally sit across from them.

‘I would love nothing more than to come face-to-face with Camilla and Charles. That’s all I want,’ he tells New Idea. ‘I just want to ask them the question: “Are you my parents?” See their reaction for myself, just to look at them with my own two eyes.

‘There are so many things I want to know, so many questions in my head. I have so many memories from when I was little, visiting places and spending time with a woman I believe was Camilla. I just want them to fill in all the gaps for me.’

While Simon doesn’t go into the details and specifics of the planned secret meeting, he does reveal how excited he is to finally find out the truth.

‘My fight for serious answers started when my grandmother told me outright that I was Prince Charles and Camilla’s child,’ says Simon. ‘That was in 1998. I was very close to my grandmother – she and my grandfather worked for the Queen in one of her royal households. My grandfather even received an Imperial Service Award for his role with the Queen. And my grandmother didn’t just hint at it, she told me outright – “You are their son.”

‘I was born roughly a year after Charles and Camilla were rumoured to be dating in the mid ’60s – and in the lead-up to my birth, Camilla had disappeared from the social scene for many months and Charles was sent to Australia.

‘On top of that, my birth certificate appears to be fake – there’s no record anywhere of the people who were listed as my parents, and the hospital it was claimed I was born at didn’t deliver babies at that time and has no record of my birth.

‘And then I have a lot of memories from when I was very young of being taken to various houses to spend time with a woman I now believe to be Camilla. There were always a lot of officials and authoritative type people there as well, like she had protection, and it was all very cloak and dagger.’

Adds Simon’s Australian wife Elvianna: ‘We believe that Camilla fell pregnant to Charles and that Camilla, with the help of her family and the royals, kept Simon hidden in Portsmouth until he was 18 months old.

‘But they then had to find a solution as he was getting too old to conceal. We believe the royals knew from his adoptive grandmother that her daughter couldn’t have children and had already adopted a daughter, so it was arranged that she would take Simon.’

It’s a truly intriguing story that has taken Simon on a long road for answers. The first time he went public with his claims was in 2005 during the

Operation Paget enquiry, which was set up by UK authorities to investigate Princess Diana’s death.

While UK authorities were quick to investigate his claims, it’s since been a frustrating process looking for answers, which has seen him ridiculed and targeted, leading to a string of death threats and security fears and meetings with police.

But now thanks to the support of Australians and many around the world, Simon says there are tens of thousands desperate to know the truth just like he is. This brings him a lot of comfort as he prepares for his meeting with Charles and Camilla.

‘I did some work in Mackay with the police up there and I got a phone call from the guy up there and we were discussing work and then he said: “Oh, have you got a copy of the New Idea story on you?”’ says Simon, who has a senior job in the Queensland government.

‘I couldn’t believe that they were following it, all the way up in Mackay! Even to the point where they’ve put the articles up on their noticeboard.

‘And I get stopped in the street all the time, people recognising me and noticing how much I look like Charles and Camilla’s son.

‘But there’s been an enormous change in recent years. Last time Charles and Camilla came to Australia, the Federal Police came to see me to find out my movements – to see if I was planning to approach them.

‘Now I have all this support – all the emergency services up in Queensland are behind me and are following it all. But it’s interesting that the police are – I guess it’s their investigative nature. There’s a mystery, and they want to solve it!’
