THE DUCHESS DRESSES TO IMPRESS ON HER FIRST TOUR HER $$$ WARDROBE
Duchess Meghan wowed onlookers with five different and stunning outfit changes during her first official royal overseas trip last week. Alongside husband, Prince Harry, the new royal travelled with 11 members of staff to ensure her 48-hour Irish tour went off without a hitch.
Meghan’s entourage included a celebrity hairdresser, George Northwood, her private secretary, Amy Pickerill, a PA, David Manning, an advisor on foreign affairs, and a four-strong press team that included a social media press officer, a program coordinator and an aide, as well as Harry’s own private secretary, Ed Lane Fox. It was reported that Meghan’s hairdresser and staff were paid for privately by the couple. But it was the American’s rotating outfits that ensured all eyes were on her.
Having worn a stylish navy blue Dior dress, matched with a Stephen Jones hat for the RAF centenary celebrations earlier that day in London, Meghan and Harry flew to Dublin on a private jet where, on arrival, the Duchess alighted wearing a green Givenchy top and pencil skirt in a fitting tribute to Ireland’s national colour.
At the couple’s next stop, a garden party at the British ambassador’s residence, Meghan changed into a black belted, made-to-measure Emilia Wickstead midi-dress, accessorised with a matching Givenchy clutch bag and Pavé diamond earrings from her favourite jewellers, Birks. During the event, Harry made a speech
where he amused the crowd by attempting a few words in Irish, before proclaiming: ‘We’re so pleased to be here for our first official international visit together as a married couple.’
For the second day of the couple’s whirlwind trip, Meghan wore a taupe Roland Mouret midi dress, with a Fendi handbag and black velvet court shoes to meet the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins and his wife, Sabina Coyne.
An hour and a half later, Meghan switched to a less formal – but similarly chic – black Givenchy trouser suit as the couple visited other Dublin landmarks and greeted waiting crowds. Meghan, who has Irish heritage and has visited the country before, told fans: ‘It’s been amazing, and so, so special being here.’
